Tanasi Clubhouse Drive Phase 1
Golf Simulator Bays
The Foundation is accepting donations for two Track Man Golf Simulator bays and complementary furnishings in the rebuild of the Tanasi clubhouse. The POA Board has committed to approve the completion of the bays when we have raised the $185,000 to cover the estimated costs. Additional amenities for the clubhouse are also being considered (e.g. an outdoor fireplace).

Warriors At Ease
The “Warriors at Ease” program is an international yoga and meditation program designed specifically for trauma-informed military veterans, first responders, and all spouses. The program launched in January of 2024 with a one-hour class each week followed by coffee and chat time. The participants love the classes, and we have heard many testimonials that these classes have impacted several areas in their life by teaching them to slow down, permission for self-care, increase flexibility, and methods to self-regulate episodes of PTSD from combat situations. The Timeless Tellico Foundation assists in funding this program, most recently with the purchase of exercise mats.

bocce ball court
Bocce Ball has come to the Recreation Center at no cost to the Village, thanks to a unique collaboration between Parks and Recreation, a local homebuilder, the Kahite Chain Gang, and an anonymous donation to the Timeless Tellico Foundation. The initiative began when Cook Bros Homes approached the POA expressing interest in constructing a trail in the Chatuga Drive area. Simon Bradbury, Director of Parks and Recreation proposed a mutually beneficial arrangement: in exchange for Cook Bros developing two Bocce courts at a reduced cost, the all-volunteer Kahite Chain Gang would build the new trail. The original estimate to build such courts was well over $20,000; Cook Bros agreed to build it for $13,000, in exchange for the value of the labor of the Kahite Chain Gang in building the trail. The design, site and construction of the Courts were overseen by Parks and Recreation. The final piece of the puzzle was completed when the Timeless Tellico Foundation received a donation of $13,000 from a TV resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, earmarking the money for the Bocce ball courts. The new Bocce courts are located behind the Chota Recreation Center. Recreation Center members interested in playing should check in at Chota Rec to reserve a spot and the equipment.

Pickleball Courts at Wellness Center
It was a true team effort by The Pickleball Club and its members, naming rights proceeds, corporate donors, and the contribution of unrestricted funds from the Foundation, plus an in-kind donation of material and labor for the Pickleplex Plaza to cover the costs for the design and construction of four pickleball courts at the Wellness Center. Total funds expended: $232,557.
The Tellico Village POA provided the roof to cover the courts. The Foundation will add another $8,000 in 2023 to complete the Pickleplex Wall of Fame honoring the sponsors and donors.

FUTURE PROJECTS
The Foundation is now working to build our general fund with the goal of an annual grant cycle.
The TTF Board will consider any projects which support the active lifestyle in Tellico Village. Our focus is on building or expanding new and enhancing existing amenities (think bigger and better).
Current and future projects include partnering with the Parks and Recreation Department to support the Greenspace Initiative, sponsoring the Warriors at Ease program for our Veterans and First Responders, exploring the possibility of an outdoor entertainment and recreation facility at the Yacht Club, and seeking ways that we can work together to enhance the future golf amenity at Tanasi.
